This beautiful oil painting of a marsh with water lilies evokes a sense of peacefulness.    I enjoy capturing the mood of the local wetlands in Florida.  In this marsh painting, the water lilies dance on the reflecting blue waters.  Lovely pinks, oranges, reds and yellows compliment the lovely green leaves and blue water.

This breathtaking sunrise painting is based on a Jekyll Island trip we took.  The sunlit trees and grasses illuminate and reflect in the glistening water in this landscape painting. Jekyll Island provides a lot of inspiration for landscape and plein air paintings as much of the island is not developed.  I was fascinated by the miles of beautiful beaches and marshes. We took some time to take a stroll in the village shopping area by the Jekyll Island Club in the historic district.  We also visited some old ruins on the island too!

This enchanting landscape nature painting was inspired by a beautiful marsh on Jekyll Island.  When we were exploring the island, I asked my husband to pull over when I saw a sunlit marsh through some trees so I could do a quick plein air study and take photos.  This whole island was tranquil and serene, but this particular marsh captivated me. This landscape painting highlights  the glassy water and a sandy shore and rocky area.  The sun lit trees invite you into this enchanting painting of Jekyll Island.
