During this special time, there is a magical spectacle when God paints the sky! This seaside painting is done in a Monet style. This is a special painting to me because it was something I created after losing our sweet dog, Chula.  Chula loved to chase seagulls on the beach, and she traveled with us to many seashores in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Texas.  Although she didn't like the water, she loved to chase the waves along the shore. I miss her so very much. I miss the pitter-patter of her little paws. The way she would tuck us in at night by going to the foot of the bed and not leaving until we were asleep.  I miss the way she would come running when I would cut an apple or a cucumber--those were some of her favorite treats. W

This original coastal harbor oil painting was inspired by Southport, NC where we took a wonderful vacation.  We visited the lovely beach communities around Wilmington, NC.  We were eager to see the town where the Nicholas Sparks' movie,"Safe Haven", was filmed.   This enchanting little coastal community has quaint and colorful cottages.  The harbor area has wonderful restaurant like the Fishy Fishy Cafe.  I love the rustic buildings that surround the weathered docks.   The downtown area has charming little shops and is bustling with tourists!   Julianne Hough 's character, Kati
